Blog Wars Part 4: a new mope

It occurs to me that we are yet to hear from Luza in this web 2.0 programme.
It's a shame because his blog was certainly the most entertaining last time. 
Anyway enough jawing, back to work. I signed up to Goodreads in April '09.
Barbered to others about it in November but I don't suppose that will get me any extra credit from the high pillows. It's real good for dolls and gees who want to find books they might like or maybe even someone else to yap with.

Blog Wars Part 3: A whinge goes herewith

As I told @Manukau_Libs this dingus twitter lets me chin wit all manner of dolls n' ginks without having to drop a dime or give spinach to a hack jockey.
It's eggs in the coffee to use. I dunno why I might promote it to the customers, but if they asked I'm sure I'd suggest that they take a slant at it.

Blog Wars Part 2: choke back the moans

Zamzar's a very useful and easy to use site (apart from having to bump off the pop ups).
I imagine that Zamzar would be very useful for customers to change all manner of files, e.g. illegally downloaded music, lolcat pictures or evangelical podcasts.
Anyway here's an interesting story that I converted.

Blog Wars Part 1: The Irksome Menace

Blog WarsSeriously just kidding, I'm already having fun as you'll read in my post.
I expect the sequel will be a lot shorter than the original and hopefully slightly more applicable to my vocation.
A public library could use a blog two ways, it could use it to advertise the library and publicise events.
But surely the best and most fun use for a blog is as an annonymous, cathartic forum for librarians to rant about their profession. It's a tried and tested format as seen here, here, here, here, here, and here.
So patron's would either be informed about library services and activities or would have a renewed appreciation for long suffering library staff.
